Older hotel mostly refurbished. Close to the train station, near restaurants, shopping, monuments, sight seeing by foot. Staff were incredibly nice, rooms were clean, beds were comfy.

Room was comfortable / clean. Bed was comfy. Location of hotel was exactly fine for us. We visited Amiens for the Xmas market and the hotel was literally at the start. We could walk up one side of the street and back down the other. Parking was 5/10 minute walk. We parked under the cinema just a street down and was there just short of 24hrs costing €13. Breakfast was continental at a cost of €12.50 each. There is a tourist tax but think this was like €1.50

The STAFF - Martina, Wendy and Bronilda were so AMAZING, Helpful and Warm. We spent our Christmas weekend at the Hotel de L’Univers and Martina went out of her way in helping with restaurants open. They made us feel at home The LOCATION - The BEST location right in the heart of everything yet the walls are insulated so you aren’t disturbed in the night. I checked the whole street and this is the ONLY hotel that is on the Christmas Market and other summer activities

Charming, rather old fashioned hotel, in an ideal central location overlooking some very pretty public gardens. Great to have a bathtub instead of just a shower! Polite and friendly staff who were happy to help with a smile. The breakfast offered a good range of choice, and real coffee (not the usual machine stuff). The Perret car park recommended by the hotel is very convenient but costs 13 euros/24 hours, not 7.

Superbly located on the high street of Amiens, this hotel is rather nice with a historic feeling. We picked this hotel as it was approx. 5 min walking distance from Amiens station, super handy if you're here only for a day. The front desk was super friendly and polite. Our room was on the top floor (there's an elevator), but we would recommend trying to use staircase at least once - the interior of the building is indeed historic and is a nice piece of early XX century architecture. The room was warm and comfy, we had everything that we needed. The breakfast was quite nice (way better than what you get in an ibis styles in Paris), the only challenge being that the hotel was full, and seemingly some guests had to wait a little longer to get seated.

We had been travelling for 30 hours from sydney, and although the check-in was at 2, they especially let us in at 12 The woman on reception could not have been more friendly or helpful. A beautiful room with lots of windows and doors onto the park and trees across the road. This is still a relatively old French 3 star hotel, so dont expect 6 star luxury but so well located and with welcoming staff. Everything you need.

The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was lovely and the bed was massive. We were very comfortable and my request for a bath, and a view of the street, was met which made the difference.

The room was very comfortable with the additional bonus of a balcony overlooking the square. The bathroom is well equipped and there was lots hanging space in the wardrobe. The staff were friendly and helpful.

great stay, from arriving early the receptionist Wendy was more than accommodating, allowing us to store our bags whilst we explored Amiens waiting to check in. the room itself was lovely with balconies surrounding the room onto the busy streets below. great location for the Rederie on the door stop! breakfast smelt amazing but cannot comment as we didn’t stop for it. a great stay and looking to book for October again!

I'm not sure about "Grand Hotel of the Universe", but this is a nice hotel in its category, with large, comfortable and nicely decorated rooms, which are well-priced. It is well-located, at one end of Amiens' pedestrianised central zone, very near the train station and an easy walk to all sights.
